Bobit Business Media, Inc. announced the acquisition of key partner agreement assets from Roadz, Inc., a fleet technology marketplace operator. The transaction positions BBM to deepen its capabilities as a fleet technology go-to-market partner for both startups and established businesses committed to a diverse and open ecosystem powered by API connectivity and future AI-enabled integration across the fleet landscape.
With this acquisition, BBM strengthens its ability to support solution providers seeking scalable distribution, ecosystem partnerships, and industry visibility — while continuing to serve fleet professionals through trusted content, research, and digital sourcing tools.
The move builds on the January 2026 launch of The Fleet Source, BBM’s digital sourcing platform designed to help fleet professionals discover, evaluate, and connect with leading industry suppliers. The Fleet Source integrates editorial expertise, structured supplier data, and intelligent search tools to streamline sourcing decisions and reduce friction in the fleet procurement process.
“Over the past decade, the fleet and telematics ecosystem has matured into a highly collaborative, API-driven environment,” said Colin Sutherland, CEO of BBM. “Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when startups, enterprise providers, data platforms, and fleets can connect seamlessly. Our goal is to serve as a go-to-market partner that supports that openness — where APIs enable integration, and AI enhances discovery, insight, and performance.”
Sutherland added, “Having spent years working alongside innovators in telematics, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful an open ecosystem can be. The future of fleet technology depends on interoperability, data exchange, and the ability for new entrants and established companies alike to plug into a broader marketplace. This acquisition reinforces our commitment to supporting that evolution.”
Expanding the Fleet Technology Marketplace for Solution Providers
Under the terms of the agreement, BBM will assume successor-operator rights associated with Roadz partner agreements, subject to applicable partner consents. BBM will work directly with partners to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of services for fleets and solution providers.
The acquisition enhances BBM’s ability to:
Support emerging fleet technology startups seeking industry exposure and channel expansion
Provide established solution providers with scalable marketplace participation
Facilitate partner onboarding, communications, and billing coordination
Align marketplace engagement with trusted editorial brands, including Automotive Fleet, Government Fleet, Heavy Duty Trucking, Work Truck, School Bus Fleet, and related fleet media properties
By combining media authority with marketplace enablement, BBM aims to create a more connected environment where fleets can confidently evaluate solutions and technology companies can accelerate responsible growth.
Advancing an API-First, AI-Enabled Fleet Technology Platform
BBM’s long-term strategy centers on serving as a bridge between innovation and adoption — helping solution providers navigate market entry while equipping fleet professionals with trusted information and digital tools.
The acquisition reflects a broader industry trend toward:
API-first architecture
Data interoperability
AI-enhanced discovery and analytics
Marketplace-driven distribution models
As fleets continue to modernize operations, the ability to connect systems, share data securely, and integrate third-party tools will become increasingly essential. BBM intends to support this shift by strengthening its role as a neutral, ecosystem-focused platform partner.
